Making A Difference
In Kids
One of Kids for Utica & City Youth outreach this year was to the local community. Boys and girls doned rubber gloves and walking shoes and spent two hours of cleaning up six blocks surrounding the KfU home. They collected over twenty bags of garbage. As they were picking up trash some the local homeowners began to clean up their yards. Some people were perplexed as to why KfU/CY was cleaning up the surrounding area. It is called pride in their community.

After the clean up they spent time playing football until the food was cooked. Every member of the community that help clean and all the boy and girls of KfU received a ticket that allowed them to eat hamburgers, hot dogs, Bar-B-Q, baked beans, potato salad and lots of cake.
